PROBLEM

The client had a shortage of 166 rooms to meet the financial obligations of the contract 7 days prior to the event. The Audio Visual costs were $13,000 over budget because of last minute changes and speaker needs.

SOLUTION

Our team of Certified Meeting Planners worked with both the client and the hotel to find and encourage registrants to move from offsite locations into the block. We provided 3 additional creative solutions to recapture bookings and succeeded in meeting the contractual obligations, saving the client over $35,000 in attrition charges.

We reworked the equipment with the Audio Visual provider, moved some sessions into complimentary rooms and succeeded in coming in under budget, saving the client more than $13,000.

Total savings to the client: More than $48,000.
