President & CEO

Darlene is an event strategist that partners with organizations to produce successful and profitable events.  She has turned around more than 3 events series from bankruptcy to profitability.

She has over 30 years’ experience in producing over 5,000 events, has worked with many of the worlds’ leading artists and professional speakers, and believes she learns something new every day.  She has led the company to win more than 15 awards for event promotion, effective ad campaigns and Style Magazine’s People’s Choice awards for three years in a row.

She has marketed and/or produced the Gold Country Fair, Orangevale’s Pow Wow Days, The Rodeo Street Party, The Citrus Heights 20th Anniversary Block Party, The Elk Grove Dickens Faire, Roseville Family Fun Night, The Elk Grove International Chili Cook Off, the Gold Country Pro Rodeo, Auburn Country Christmas, Roseville’s Downtown Tuesday Nights, and the Roseville Zombie Walk, to name a few.

An Auburn Leadership graduate, she sits on the Board of Directors for the California and Nevada Festival and Events Association, The Advisory Board for ConventionPlanit.com, and the Board of Directors for the Citrus Heights Homeless Assistance Resource Team.  She is the Chairperson for the Citrus Heights Veterans Stand Down and Co-Founder of the Orangevale Food Bank that serves over 3,000 meals a month. She believes everyone can make a difference.

Rich Heitke

Senior Meeting Planner

Rich is a Certified Meeting Professional and a Certified Government Meeting Professional with over 22 years of experience and continuing training making him an invaluable member of the team.

Rich plans and executes events all over the continent, including the Bahamas, and leads the organization in contract authorship and implementation, event analysis, and data aggregation. He also  creates learning-conducive atmospheres for groups from 10 to 1,500 meeting participants and is experienced in all phases of event creation from concept, to goal development, budgeting, site analysis, pre-event detailing, on site management to assessing return on investment.

Janessa Fields

Senior Event Manager

With over 6 years in the non-profit industry, Janessa combines her in-depth knowledge of fundraising, event planning, and logistics with 15+ years of customer service experience to coordinate flawless events.

Janessa is a wife and mother of 2 children, she enjoys spending time with her family and strives to make their life better. She enjoys being a part of her kids sports as a Cheer, Baseball & Soccer Team Mom. She also serves in her church in the children’s ministries and as the Upward Sports Community Connection Commissioner.

A Leadership Auburn Graduate 2016, Janessa is passionate about her community and strives to make it a better place.

Michael Schuster

Digital Marketing Manager

With experience of over 250 events, Michael’s focus is on content creation, and digital marketing, making it both fun and effective. He has led the company to win numerous marketing awards, including the Best Video Commercial from the California and Nevada Festival and Events Association.

Continual training is his passion and he enjoys the changing world of technology and human behavior.

In his off time Mike enjoys spending time with his wife in the outdoors, fishing, hiking and camping. He is an accomplished guitar player and performer and loves helping others.

Brooke Schuster

Customer Relations Supervisor

Brooke is experienced in customer service and enjoys organizing and managing large projects. Her past roles include Starbucks Lead and Customer Relations Manager at Shane Company Jewelers. She is responsible for managing registration and ticketing for our large events and controlling the valuable data.

Brooke loves to hike and spend time outdoors, and traveling the world with her husband Mike.
